【原文】

子曰：“十室之邑，必有忠信如丘者焉，不如丘之好学也。”

【语译】

孔子说：“就是十户人家的小地方，必定有像我这样的既忠信又信实的人，但没有能像我这样好学的人。”

The Master said, “There are, in a townof ten households, bound to be people who are better than I am in doing theirutmost and in making good on their word, but there will be no one who cancompare with me in the love of learning.”
