Describe a person who you lived with.
You should say:
·who that person is
·when you lived with him/her
·why you lived with that person
And explain how it affected your life.

Instead of talking about one person, I want to talk about all three of my housemates in my second year of uni.

I moved out of campus and found a house in town after l finished the first year. That was back in July 2007. I found the house completely by chance. Ana, the only girl in the house had already lived there for a year. All the rest of us moved in that summer. Rob and I moved in at about the same time, and Neil was the last person to move in.

The three of them, Ana, Rob, and Neil, all knew each other. Iwas the only newcomer in the gang, and also I was the only foreigner in the house. But the three of them all welcomed me with an open heart. I was only expecting to stay there for the summer but because we got along so well I decided to stay there for the whole of my second year. It's probably the best year of my uni life. I had such a good time in that year. Every week, we would take turns to cook on weekends and invite our friends over for dinner and drinks. We would drink and play games, and laugh until the neighbours came to knock on our doors. And of course there were quarrels and falling-outs, but we always managed to get over them.

It's kind of the turning point of my student life in the UK. I gained so much more than just friendship from my housemates. They also took me in and helped me integrate into British culture and student life. I couldn't have found better housemates.
