Stress

Most usually the stress falls on the penultimate syllable. Repeat the examples after the speaker:

italiano   aeroporto   interessante   il mondo moderno   la stazione della ferrovia

Stress may fall on the final vowel and it's marked by an accent in writing:

città   possibilità   perciò   tivù

The most problematic for the learner are words where a stress is on the antepenultimate syllable, the third from the end. Here are some examples, repeat them after the speaker:
