A: Happy belated new year!

B: Happy new year! So, did you have a good holiday season?

A: Yeah. My parents came to visit us from China.

B: Wow! That’s wonderful! Have they been to Canada before?

A: Yes. They came in the years 2017and 2019. They stopped coming during the pandemic. So, they’ve never seen my daughter, their granddaughter, before.

B: That’s right! Your daughter was born in 2020.

Did you go anywhere during the holiday?

A: We went to the Christmas market.

B: What did you buy?

A: Nothing special. But it was a lot of fun. My daughter loved it. What about you? Did you go anywhere this year?

B: Yeah. We went to Mexico. We’ve been there many times, but we still enjoyed it very much.
