German Chancellor Olaf Scholz heads to Beijing. The visit is the first by a Group of Seven leader since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. 

The trip is also happening as Germany’s economy teeters on the brink of a recession because of rocketing energy costs and falling exports, raising China’s significance as an economic lifeline for German manufacturers.

I guess you already heard the news that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz heads to Bei-jing to pay a visit. By the way, It’s the first by a Group of Seven leader since the start of Covid-19. 

This trip happens at quite a critical time. If I have to describe what’s happening in German at the moment, I suppose I have to say their economy’s teetering on the brink of a recession because of rocketing energy costs and falling exports.

As a result, this has raised China’s significance as an economic lifeline for German manufacturers.
