The Peasants' Complaint

Swish,swish sound the plumes of wild geese;
They can't alight on bushy trees.
We must discharge the king's affair.
How can we plant our millet with care？
On what can our parents rely?
O gods in boundless,endless sky, I sigh.

How can we plant our maize with care?
On what can our parents live and rely?

We must discharge the king's affair.
How can we plant our rice with care?
What can our parents have for Food？

When can we gain a livelihood?
