我国全面推进加入《数字经济伙伴关系协定》谈判

China is advancing negotiations on joiningthe Digital Economy Partnership Agreement, the Ministry of Commerce saidMonday. The announcement follows the recent establishment of the work team forChina's accession to the regional agreement. Last November, China filed anapplication to join DEPA, a new trade partnership agreement initiated by NewZealand, Singapore and Chile. As the second-largest digital economy in theworld, China is speeding up its digital development and opening up in terms of rules,regulations and standards. As regards the global digital economy, China iswilling to work with other countries to create an open and safe environment,share dividends and make further contributions, the ministry said.

商务部22日表示，中国正在全面推进加入《数字经济伙伴关系协定》(DEPA)的谈判进程。日前，中国加入《数字经济伙伴关系协定》（DEPA）工作组已正式成立。去年11月，中国正式提出加入申请，DEPA是由新西兰、新加坡和智利发起的一种新型贸易伙伴协议。中国是全球第二大数字经济体，正在加快数字化发展，拓展规则、规制、标准等制度型开放。商务部表示，在全球数字经济发展方面，中方愿与各国共同塑造开放、安全的数字经济发展环境，共享数字经济发展红利，为推动全球数字经济发展作出积极贡献。

"After more than 50 years ofgovernment service, I plan to pursue the next phase of my career while I stillhave so much energy and passion for my field," Fauci said in a statement. Several wildfires that have spread sinceThursday amid extreme heat and droughts have been brought under control byfirefighters in Chongqing with no casualties reported. The local governmentmobilized some 5,000 emergency rescue workers and seven helicopters toextinguish the fires and evacuated nearly 1,500 people to safety. Most parts ofthe city have experienced temperatures of more than 40 C for several weeks, andtemperatures soared to 45 C on Thursday. The ongoing heat wave is expected tocontinue into this week.
