The Shenzhou-14 crew aboard China's space station have finished the assembly and testing of an environmental control and regenerative life support system inside the Wentian lab module, according to the China Manned Space Agency. With the recently installed carbon dioxide water recovery subsystem, the regenerative life support systems at China's space station now have six subsystems, including CO2 removal, trace containment removal, oxygen generation, urine treatment and water and waste management. Together the systems have formed a closed-loop system aboard China's space station, recovering 90 percent of water resources inside the station. That means only 10 percent of the water used for in-orbit astronauts aboard China's space station is needed from cargo supply. 

据中国载人航天工程办公室发布的最新消息，神舟十四号航天员乘组近期已经完成了问天实验舱内环控生保系统在轨组装设备的安装和测试工作。我国空间站的再生式环控生保系统共包括6个再生子系统，分别是二氧化碳去除子系统、微量有害气体去除子系统、电解制氧子系统、尿处理子系统、水处理子系统和二氧化碳还原子系统。通过该生命支持闭环系统的运行，使空间站水资源的物质闭合度提高到90%。也就是说，在轨航天员的所使用的水仅有10%由地面通过货运飞船上行补给。

我国首次出口的高铁列车正式启运

A high-speed electric passenger train and an inspection train, customized for the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway in Indonesia, left the port of Qingdao in East China's Shandong province on Sunday. The trains were designed and manufactured by CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd. for a landmark project under the Belt and Road Initiative. The first trains will arrive in Jakarta by the end of August. The trains have a maximum operating speed of 350 kilometers per hour, were designed and manufactured according to Chinese standards and have been adapted to the local operational environment. With a total length of 142 kilometers, the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway connects Jakarta, the Indonesian capital, and Bandung, a famous tourist city.

8月21日，我国出口印尼用于雅万高铁的1组高速动车组和1组综合检测列车从青岛港运往印尼。雅万高铁是“一带一路”倡议的标志性项目，这些列车是由中国中车旗下四方股份公司设计制造。首批发运车辆，预计将于8月底抵达印尼雅加达港。列车采用中国标准为雅万高铁量身打造，最高运营时速350公里。雅万高速铁路全长142公里，连接印度尼西亚首都雅加达和印度尼西亚著名旅游城市万隆。

Kenya's food-insecure population to spike amid drought

The number of food-insecure Kenyans is expected to reach 4.35 million by October, up from the current 4.1 million as drought worsens in many parts of the country, a state agency said Sunday. 23 counties mainly in the arid and semi-arid regions are grappling with a severe dry spell that has worsened water stress, hunger and malnutrition. The deteriorating food situation is attributed to the fourth consecutive failed rainy season alongside the Ukraine crisis, desert locust infestation and the COVID-19 pandemic, the National Drought Management Authority said in a statement issued from Nairobi, the Kenyan capital. According to NDMA, 884,464 children aged six to 59 months are acutely malnourished and 115,725 pregnant or lactating mothers have also suffered from an acute form of malnutrition in the arid counties. Declining milk production and a spike in the cost of cereals have also worsened the hunger crisis in the semi-arid region.

2,000 workers go on strike at UK's largest port

Almost 2,000 workers have put down their tools at Felixstowe, the UK's largest container port, in an eight-day strike, causing fears over its impact on the supply chain and leaving shoppers waiting for goods. Felixstowe, on the east coast of England, processes about half of the UK's container trade and the strike will cause considerable disruption to the flow of goods. Shipping group Maersk, one of the world's biggest container shipping companies, has warned of significant impact and delays. Like strike action in many other sectors in the UK, workers are demanding more pay as the country battles high inflation levels. The port's operator Hutchison Ports has offered workers a 7 percent pay rise but the Unite union, which mainly represents dock workers, says that is not enough.
