开灯为什么不能说”open a light”？


开灯为什么不能说opened a light?
因为open是指把原本闭合关上的物体打开，
比如说:
Open the window开窗户
open the door 开门


Could I trouble you to open the window, please?
劳驾，请您把窗户打开好吗？


She opened the door and went in.
她打开门进去了。


而电器的打开是把原本断开的电路接通, 
要用turn on
on本身就有接触接上的意思，
打开灯，Turn on the light


Let me turn on the light.
让我把灯打开。


同样，关上灯不是close the light，
因为关上灯是把电路给断开了，要用turn off
off，就用脱离、断开的意思，
关上灯，Turn off the light


Make sure to turn off the light before you leave.
临走前一定要熄灯。
