4. Cut (伤口)
A: I cut my finger quite badly when I was using the knife. It’s bleeding (流血) quite a lot.
B: Apply (施行) direct pressure (压力) on the cut with a clean cloth. I’ll find you a bandage (创可贴).
If the cut is too deep, the doctor might need to close it with stitches (缝针).
A: Will it leave a scar (疤痕)?
B: It might.
5. Concussion (脑震荡)
A: I’ve got concussion from playing football. I feel dizzy (头晕) and nauseous (恶心).
B: Then you should get plenty of sleep and avoid caffeine (咖啡因). You might need to nap (小息) during the day.
6. Faint 晕倒
A: I fainted the other day.
B: What happened?
A: I don’t really know. I lost consciousness for a few seconds and fell on the floor.
B: Were you hurt?
A: No, fortunately.
