have a beef with someone对某人有抱怨；与某人有争

beef大家最熟悉的含义表示「牛肉」，不过 beef 作名词还可以表示 「抱怨，牢骚」，相当于 complaint. beef 也可用作动词，表示 「抱怨，发牢骚」，后面常加介词 about. 

have a beef with someone 就相当于 have a quarrel with someone.
