Chapter 11 The Deal
这章节中主人公August 终于结束了新学校游览，回到了办公室。校长Tushman非常热情的邀请他再去看看学校，但是小August却利用一个和妈妈约定好的理由委婉的拒绝了校长的建议，和妈妈离开了校园。文章中的大人和小孩子的交谈是全文的主要内容。August并没有把Julian的行为告诉校长，还在临走前特地说了一句 “Everyone was really nice.” August 心底的善良使他选择包容Julian的不善意的言行。但是August 内心还是不开心，因此在文章的结尾处对August 的行为描写，让读者能够感受到主人公内心所承受的伤害。

2.eye v 注视

8.lose track of the time 忘了时间
E.g He became so deeply absorbed in the novel that he lost track of time.
9.pick up 拾起，捡起，用车接某人。。。
10.I wished she wouldn’t talk to me like I was a baby in front of other people.
Wish 后的宾语从句常用虚拟语气。
