U4L2 WOULD YOU MIND IF I USED YOUR LADDER

Julian: Excuse me. Would you mind if I used your ladder for a second? I'm just painting the roof of my new house. 

Rose: I wouldn't mind at all. Do take care though. It's rather old and battered. I've wanted to get a new one soon. I wouldn't want anything to happen to you. 

Julian: Thanks for telling me. I will be careful. Oh, and you can rest assured I won't get 

any paint on your ladder. 

(After Julian finished painting the roof) 

Julian: I've finished and here's your ladder back. As you can see, there's zero damage. 

Rose: Why, thank you. That's very good of you. 

Julian: My family and I would like to invite you to dinner tonight as a way to say thanks.

Rose: How considerate of you! I would love to come for dinner tonight.
