1. Alpine skiing (Downhill skiing) （高山滑雪）: Sliding down snow-covered slopes on skis.

2. Cross-country skiing （越野滑雪）: Cross-country skis allow you to move around on flat terrain , ascents, and descents.

3. Freestyle skiing (自由式滑雪): Skiers go down a hill covered with moguls and execute two jumps where they can attempt a flip. Their score is 60 percent turns, 20 percent speed, and 20 percent air jumps. Turns are a measurement by the judges of how straight the skier kept their body while going through the moguls.

4. Ski jumping (跳台滑雪): A winter sport in which competitors aim to achieve the farthest jump after sliding down on their skis from a specially designed curved ramp. Along with jump length, competitor's aerial style and other factors also affect the final score.

5. Nordic combined (北欧两项): A winter sport in which athletes compete in cross-country skiing and ski jumping.

6. Biathlon （冬季两项）: A winter sport that combines cross-country skiing and rifle shooting (步枪射击).

7. Snowboard（单板滑雪）：Athletes place both feet, usually secured, to the same board.
