I wouldlike to read to you something very, very important. And it moves me deeply tohave this privilege.

我想给在座的各位念一些非常重要的文字。有幸能承担这个使命的同时我自己也深受感动。

Thepreamble to the Convention of the Rights of the Child, every child shall enjoythe following rights without any exception whatsoever and shall be entitled tothem without distinction or discrimination on account of race, color, sex,language, religion or politics.

根据《儿童权利公约》的序言：所有儿童，无一例外都应享有如下权利，不因自己的种族，肤色，性别，语言，宗教或政治而受到歧视和差别对待。

The childshall enjoy social protection and be given the opportunities facilities, andmeans to enable development physically, mentally, morally and spiritually incondition of freedom and dignity.

儿童应该获得社会保护，并获得机遇，设施和途径以在自由和尊严的环境中实现生理，心理，道德和精神方面的发展。

The child shallbe entitled from birth to a name and nationality.

儿童享有自出生起即获得姓名和国籍的权利。

The childshall be entitled to grow and develop in health and shall have the right toadequate nutrition, housing, recreation and medical services.

儿童有权健康地成长和发展，有权获得充足的营养，住房，娱乐和医疗保健服务。

The childwho is physically, mentally or socially handicapped shall be given specialtreatment, education and care.

存在身体，心理或社交障碍的儿童应获得特别的治疗，教育和照料。

The childneeds love and understanding, and shall have the right to grow up in an atmosphereof affection and security.

儿童需要爱和理解，他们有权在一个充满关爱和安全感的环境中成长。

The childis entitled to receive education and an opportunity to develop abilities inorder to become a useful members of society.

The childshall in all circumstances be among the first to receive protection and reliefin times of emergency and disaster.

The childshall be protected against all forms of neglect, cruelty and exploitation andshall not be admitted to employment before an appropriate minimum age.

儿童有权得到保护免受任何形式的忽视，虐待和剥削，在未满最低就业年龄前不被雇佣。

The childshall be protected from practices which may foster racial, religious or otherforms of discrimination, and shall be brought up in a spirit of understanding,tolerance, friendship among peoples, peace and universal brotherhood.

Theserights were put into words in the Declaration on the Rights of the Child thirtyyears ago. Today, and now, on this anniversary day, they have become part ofmost comprehensive treaty for the protection and support of children inhistory.

三十年前，在《儿童权利宣言》中，这些权利便已诉诸纸面。在具有纪念意义的今天，这些权利成为历史上关于儿童保护和支持的最全面的国际公约的一部分。
