教育部鼓励师生就地过节

Teachers and students are encouraged to stay put during the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, Wang Dengfeng, head of the COVID-19 prevention office at the Ministry of Education, said on Wednesday.
教育部应对新冠肺炎疫情工作领导小组办公室主任王登峰9月15日表示，中秋、国庆假期就要来临，鼓励广大师生就地过节。

The needs of students and teachers in life, study and research who choose to stay at school during the holidays should be guaranteed, said Wang.
要认真做好留校师生的服务保障工作，满足他们生活、学习、科研方面的需求。

Even with 91% of students and teachers vaccinated nationwide, it is still recommended that students stay on guard and avoid unnecessary travel, he added.
王登峰说，虽然全国教育系统师生员工疫苗接种率达到91%，但还是建议保持警惕，非必要不离开当地。

The travel warnings came ahead of the three-day Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, which starts on Sept 19. It will be followed by the seven-day National Day holiday starting on Oct 1. Both holidays are major tourism periods.
中秋和国庆假期均是旅游出行的高峰期，今年的中秋假期为9月19日至21日连续三天，国庆假期为10月1日至7日连续7天。
