一元外教 | 为什么花朵是五颜六色的

中教：小朋友们大家好，今天Amy来到了公园游玩，她非常喜欢公园的花朵，但是她有一个疑问，是什么呢？现在就让我们一起来听一听吧！

Amy: Teacher Mahalia, these flowers are very colorful. There are red flowers, white flowers, orange flowers, pink flowers, even some blue and purple flowers!  Why are they all different colors?

Mahalia: Their colors depend on the pigment inside. Some flowers have pigments that make them yellow or orange. Some have pigments that make them red, blue or even purple.

中教：原来Amy发现公园里的花有各种各样的颜色，所以她很好奇为什么会这样。Mahalia老师告诉她，这是由花朵内的色素决定的，有的色素决定它们是黄色或者橙色，有的则决定了是红色、蓝色或紫色。flower表示花朵，colorful表示多彩的，pigment表示色素。

Amy: Are there any black flowers?

Mahalia: Yes. But not pure black. Because black pigment will bring too much heat to the flowers and burn them. So we hardly ever see pure black flowers.

Amy: Wow, nature is so amazing.

中教：Amy想知道有没有黑色的花朵，Mahalia老师说有黑色的，但不是纯黑色的。因为黑色会吸收热量，灼烧花瓣，不适合花朵生长，因此我们很少看见黑色的花朵。Amy觉得大自然太神奇了。burn表示灼伤，pure表示纯净的。
