How to express this idea in English. 偷换概念,说的不是一回事儿
1. Don’t put words in my mouth. That’s not what I said. 不要乱说,我可没那么说(脑补事情,偷换概念) 2. You are talking about something else, it’s apples and oranges 你现在说的是另外一回事,完全不是一回事 a. Apples and oranges: it’s a common American idiom, two unlike things or people 风马牛不相及的事物 b. We just want to make sure we are comparing apples to apples , not apples to oranges (apples n- oranges) 3. What does that have to do with anything? 你说的这个跟我们说的有什么关系呢?(你这不是偷换概念吗?) 4. 把一个点无限放大,说的也不是事实 You’re blowing things out of proportion 你在放大这个事情,偷换概念,扭曲事实
I need you spell it when introducing phrase or key words. Then I can picture it in my brain in case I’m not sure the spelling.
