The National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference held a news conference via video link on Wednesday. 
全国政协十三届四次会议新闻发布会3月3日采用网络视频形式举行。

Spokesman of the fourth session of the 13th CPPCC National Committee, briefed journalists on the session and took questions. The session will open at 3 pm Thursday and close on the afternoon of March 10.
大会新闻发言人向中外媒体介绍本次大会有关情况并回答记者提问。他说，全国政协十三届四次会议将于3月4日下午3时在人民大会堂开幕，3月10日下午闭幕。

As of the end of February, China had provided COVID-19 vaccine related assistance to 69 countries and two international organizations, as well as exported vaccines to 28 countries. "These numbers are also growing," he added. 
还表示，截至2月底，中国向69个国家和2个国际组织提供疫苗援助，向28个国家出口疫苗，这个数量还在增加中。

He said the COVID-19 pandemic is still ravaging many countries. "China is willing to work with other nations to tackle and prevail over the pandemic as soon as possible, and contribute more to protecting the lives and health of people around the world," he said.
目前，新冠疫情仍在许多国家肆虐，我们愿与世界各国并肩携手、共同努力，争取早日战胜疫情，为保护世界各国人民生命安全和身体健康作出我们的努力和贡献。

Over 5M get COVID-19 vaccine
北京超500万人接种疫苗

Over 5 million people in Beijing had received COVID-19 vaccines as of 2 pm Tuesday, local authorities said. Among them, 2.64 million people had been administered two doses of the vaccine. 
北京市疫苗接种工作组表示，截至3月2日14时，全市累计接种达500万人，其中264万人完成两个剂次接种。

Beijing has completed COVID-19 inoculation of key groups, such as frontline customs inspectors of imported cold-chain goods and personnel working in the overseas and domestic transportation sectors, since it was launched on Jan 1. 
自1月1日重点人群新冠疫苗接种全面启动以来，北京市已完成对涉及进口冷链物品的口岸一线海关检验检疫人员、出国工作人员、国内交通运输从业人员等重点人群接种工作。

The capital will continue to promote the vaccination of people with high infection risk, including those responsible for maintaining social operations and ensuring the supply of necessities, as well as personnel in service and labor-intensive industries. 
北京市将推进下一阶段疫苗接种工作，围绕感染高风险人群、维持社会基本运行人群、基本生活物资供应保障关键岗位人群及服务业和劳动密集型行业从业人员等疾病传播风险较高人群接种疫苗。

Beijing also will inoculate the elderly who need to be vaccinated for special reasons and those in good physical condition, and gradually complete the inoculation of other groups.
北京市将对部分因特殊原因需接种且身体基础状况较好的老年人接种疫苗，并逐步开展其他人群的疫苗接种。

GIs protection for EU products
中欧地理标志协定生效

China's National Intellectual Property Administration on Monday approved geographical indications protection for nearly 100 products from the European Union, increasing the total protected EU GIs in the country to 134. The agreement also increases the total number of Chinese GIs that are officially protected in the EU to 110. 
3月1日，国家知识产权局发布公告，中欧地理标志协定第一批清单产品保护生效。中欧地理标志协定第一批双方互认的地理标志各约100个，截至目前，中欧双方累计实现110个中国地理标志在欧保护，134个欧盟地理标志在华保护。

Within four years after its entry into force, the scope of the agreement will expand to cover an additional 175 GIs from each side. 
第二批各175个地理标志将于4年内完成保护程序。

The administration vowed that China will strengthen the overseas protection of Chinese GIs, provide high-quality IPR services for foreign enterprises and severely crack down on infringement and GI counterfeiting.
国家知识产权局表示，将加强中国地理标志的海外保护工作，为外国企业提供优质的知识产权服务，严厉打击地理标志侵权假冒行为。

Students not getting enough sleep
我国中小学生睡眠不足

Lack of sleep among children and teenagers in China has worsened in the past decade, with more than 80 percent getting insufficient sleep on school days, a report released on Monday said.
3月1日，中国科学院心理研究所发布的一份报告显示，过去十年来，中国儿童和青少年睡眠不足现象日趋严重，80%以上的儿童上学日睡眠不足。 

Chinese youngsters snoozed an average of 7.8 hours a night on school days last year, 20 minutes less than in 2009, according to the report from the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Institute of Psychology. 
2020年青少年在上学日的平均睡眠时长为7.8小时，比2009年降低0.3小时。

Researchers surveyed more than 15,800 students from Henan, Hebei and Guangdong provinces from April to July, asking them what time they went to bed and woke up on days when they went to school. Only 46.4 percent slept for at least 8 hours, compared with 47.4 percent in 2009, the report said.
研究人员从4月到7月对河南、河北、广东三省的1.58万多名学生进行了调查，询问他们在上学日睡觉和起床的时间点。报告显示，只有46.4%的学生睡眠时长在8小时及以上，而2009年这一比例为47.4%。

According to an action plan laying out measures to be taken from 2019 to 2030 to promote the health of citizens, primary school students are recommended to get a minimum of 10 hours' sleep a night. Nine hours is recommended for junior high school students and 8 hours for senior high school students. 
为促进公民健康，《健康中国行动（2019—2030年）》提倡，小学生每天睡眠时间不少于10小时，初中生不少于9小时，高中生不少于8小时。

By those standards, more than 95 percent of students in primary schools, nearly 91 percent of those in junior high schools and 84 percent of students in senior high schools do not get enough sleep on school days, heightening the risk of them developing cognitive, mental and physical health problems.
按照这些标准，超过95%的小学生、近91%的初中生和84%的高中生在上学日的睡眠时长未达标，这增加了他们出现认知、心理和身体健康问题的风险。
