今天讲 The Lost Voice，讲的是Chip生病嗓子发炎然后去看医生的故事。

全文：

Chip didn’t feel very well.
Chip感觉不太舒服。

His throat was sore and he couldn’t talk. 

他的嗓子很疼，他不能说话了。
“Chip has lost his voice,” said Dad.  

“Chip不能说话了，”爸爸说到。

“Oh no!” thought Floppy.  

“哦，不！”Floppy心想。

Mum took Chip to the doctor. 

妈妈带着Chip去看医生。

Dad took Biff and Kipper to school.

爸爸带着Biff和Kipper去学校。
Floppy was all on his own.

Floppy独自在家。 

“Chip has lost his voice,”

 he thought sadly. 

“Chip丢掉了他的声音，”它悲伤的想到。

“I wish I could help him.”   

“我希望我可以帮助他。”

“I know!” thought Floppy. 

“我知道了！”Floppy想到。

“I’ll go and find Chip’s voice.”“

我要去把Chip的声音找回来。”

“ I’m good at finding things.”  

 “我非常擅长找东西。” 

He wagged his tail and ran upstairs.  

它摇着尾巴跑上了楼梯。
Floppy ran into Chip’s bedroom.

Floppy跑进了Chip的卧室。

He looked under the bed.

它看了看床底下。

He found a ball, a toy car, a sticky sweet and a dusty sock…它找到了一个小球，一个玩具汽车，一颗糖和一只落满灰尘的袜子...... …

But he didn’t find Chip’s lost voice. 

但是它没有找到Chip丢失的声音。

Floppy looked in the toy box. 

Floppy看了看玩具盒子。

He found lots of toys and lots of books…   

它找到了许多的玩具和许多的书......
…But he didn’t find Chip’s lost voice.  

但是它没有找到Chip丢失的声音。

Suddenly, the phone rang.  

突然，电话响了。

“There are voices in the phone,” thought Floppy.

“在电话里有声音，”Floppy想着。
“I bet Chip’s voice is in there.” 

“我打赌Chip的声音就在那里。”
Floppy hit the phone with his paw. 

Floppy用它的爪子去碰电话。

CRASH! It fell down. 电话倒了。

A voice said, “Hello! Is anyone there?” 

一个声音说，“你好，有人在吗？”

But it wasn’t Chip’s voice. 

 但这不是Chip的声音。

Floppy ran downstairs. 

Floppy跑下楼。

He looked at the radio.

它看着收音机。
“I bet Chip’s voice is in there,” he thought.“

我打赌Chip的声音在这里，”它想着。

He hit the radio with his paw.  

它用爪子去碰收音机。

Nothing happened. 

什么也没有发生。

He hit it harder…and harder!  

它用力的碰啊碰！

CRASH! The radio fell over and someone started to sing.

收音机倒了，有人开始唱歌。

“What a horrible noise,” thought Floppy. 

“This isn’t Chip.”

“多么糟糕的声音啊，”Floppy心想。

“这不是Chip的声音。”

“I bet Chip’s voice is in the television,” thought Floppy.

“我打赌chip的声音在电视里，”Floppy心想。

He ran to look.

它跑过去看。
His paw hit the switch and the television came on.

它的爪子碰到了开关，电视机打开了。
Floppy saw a dog on the television.

Floppy看到一只狗在电视上。

It ran out of a shop with a big bone. 

它叼着一只大骨头从商店里跑出来。

“Wow! That bone looks good,” thought Floppy.

“哇！那个骨头看起来好美味，”Floppy心想。

 The dog ran faster and faster.  

这只狗跑的越来越快。
A voice shouted, “Stop! Stop that dog!” 

一个声音喊道，“停下来！那只狗快停下来!”

“That isn’t Chip,” thought Floppy, and he went back upstairs.

“那不是Chip的，”

Floppy心想，然后它回到楼上。

Floppy saw Teddy on Kipper’s bed.   

Floppy看到泰迪熊在Kipper的床上。

“Teddy!” he thought. 

“泰迪！”它想着。

“I bet Teddy has got Chip’s voice.”

“我打赌泰迪熊拿走了Chip的声音。 

Floppy shook Teddy hard.  

Floppy使劲的晃动着泰迪熊。

Grrrrrrrr! growled Teddy.   

 唔！泰迪熊咆哮着。

“Help!” barked Floppy.

“救命啊！”Floppy尖叫着。

He dropped Teddy and ran into Biff’s bedroom.

它扔下泰迪熊跑进了Biff的卧室。

WHOOSH! Floppy went skidding across the floor. 

Floppy从地板上滑进去。

CRASH! Biff’s clock fell over. 

“Wake up!” it shouted.  

 Biff的闹钟响了。

“醒醒！”它叫着。

Floppy was scared.Floppy很害怕。

He hid under Chip’s bed and shut his eyes. 

它躲到Chip的床底下，闭上了眼睛。
Soon, he was fast asleep.

不久，它很快睡着了。

Chip came home. He was feeling a lot better now.

Chip回家了。他现在感觉好一点了。

“Where are you, Floppy?” he called.  

“你在哪里啊，Floppy？”他问到。
Floppy jumped up.

Floppy跳起来。

“Chip has found his voice!” he thought.

“Chip找到了他的声音！”它心想。
He wagged his tail and ran downstairs.   

它摇着尾巴跑下楼梯。

Just then, Biff came in. 

不久后，Biff进来了。

Her throat was sore and she couldn’t talk. 

 她的嗓子很疼，她不能说话了。
“Biff has lost her voice,” said Dad.  

“Biff失声了，”爸爸说到。

“Oh no!” thought Floppy.  

“哦，不！”Floppy心想。
