新西兰皇后镇

我喜欢的一个城市是新西兰的皇后镇。我两年前和妈妈一起去的。皇后镇在新西兰南岛的中南部，是非常出名的旅游滑雪胜地。不过我们是夏天去的。皇后镇非常美，站在市中心可以看到远方的高山。我们游览了市中心，坐了邮轮，还坐了缆车去山上吃自助餐。皇后镇太美了，是我去过最美的城市之一。城市又很安静，给人祥和的感觉，所以我非常喜欢那里。

One of my favorite cities is Queenstown in New Zealand. I went there with my mother two years ago.

Queenstown is a beautiful city surrounded by（被环绕） the Southern Alps in the south-central part of New Zealand's South Island. It’s also a beautiful city surrounded by mountains and rivers. The name Queenstown has nothing to do with the Queen of England or any other queen, but the colonists believed that the beautiful scenery here should only belong to the Queen of England, hence they named it Queenstown. It’s a very famous tourist ski resort in the winter, and although we went there in the summer, this didn’t affect the beauty of the town at all.

It’s very beautiful. The weather was very good the day we arrived and it was the bluest sky I’ve ever seen. There were just a few white clouds in the sky, and you could seethe mountains in the distance（远方的山）, even from the city center. The scenery really made mereluctant to blink（不愿意眨眼）. Firstly, westrolled（散步） around the city center for a while. The Mall isarguably（可以说是） the busiest street in Queenstown. The streetextends from the lakeshore to the mountains（从湖边往山区延伸）and is lined with many shops and restaurants（林立着很多商店和餐厅）. Since the avenue is a pedestrian-only walkway, visitors can wander aroundleisurely（悠闲地）. We bought some tourist souvenirs and ate delicious pizza and ice cream, then we took a cruise to another beach. The beach was full of white sand, the water was crystal clear and the cool breeze was very pleasant. In the afternoon, we took a cable car up the mountain to have a very famous local buffet. My mother and I stayed there for several days, and we were very reluctant to leave.

Queenstown is so beautiful, and it’s one of the most beautiful cities I’ve ever been to. It’s very quiet and peaceful, so I enjoy spending time there very much.
