CHAPTER8 THE MERMAIDS’ LAGOON 第八章 美人鱼的环礁湖


The bubbles of many colours made in rainbow water they treat as balls, hitting them gaily from one to another with their tails, 

她们把彩虹照耀下的五颜六色的水泡当作皮球,用尾巴欢快地拍来拍去;

The goals are at each end of the rainbow, and the keepers only are allowed to use their hands.

Sometimes a dozen of these games will be going on in the lagoon at a time, and it is quite a pretty sight.

We have now reached the evening that was to be known among them as the Night of Nights, because of its adventures and their upshot.

all except Peter, who had gone out to get the time. The way you got the time on the island was to find the crocodile, and then stay near him till the clock struck.
