第⼀部分：情景导⼊   

女：Chris！

男：啊哈？

女：快来快来，帮我一起猜猜这谜语哈。

男：嗯嗯。

女：名字叫人不是人，不吃不喝手脚勤，能开机器会下棋，干活听话负责任。

男：名字叫人不是人......能开机器.....干活听话......Oh. It's robot.这不就是机器人嘛，你自己还有一个小度呢！

女：Oh！Brilliant！

男：说到机器人啊。My mom bought a sweeping robot yesterday.我妈妈昨天买回来了一个扫地机器人。嘿，你还别说，它扫起地来还真是有模有样。以后我就再也不用担心扫地的事啦。

女：厉害了。I want to have my own robot to help with my homework.我想拥有一台帮助我做作业的机器人。

男：哈哈，要不你去睡一觉？梦里啥都有。

女：诶嘿，你可别小瞧机器人的发展。呐。We will learn a passage about robots. Let’s have a look!

第⼆部分：学海拾贝 

男：在听课的过程中，请同学们思考:我们可以从哪些方面对未来机器人进行预测？

女：So let’s keep the question in mind and turn to page 53, Section B 2b.

女：Chris, do you know what robots can do today?

男：Yep. Some robots can help with the housework at home.一些机器人能够在家里帮助人们做家务，为工作族减轻家务压力。

女：没错，这里的help with sth.是“帮助做某事”的意思，如help with homework帮助做作业。help的其他搭配还有help sb. do sth.或help sb.to do sth. 表示“帮助某人做某事”。

男：原来help的用法如此多啊。那帮助妈妈打扫房间 就是help my mom clean the room或help my mom to clean the room。

女：Yep. What else can robots do?

男：And today there are already robots working in factories.现在工厂已经有机器人在工厂工作了。

女：Wow, that’s great.同学们注意，这里的There be sb. doing sth. in sp.表示在某地有某人正在做某事。

男：So I can say, there are some children playing in the park.一些孩子在公园玩耍。

女：Yep. What can robots do in factories?

男：Let’s see together. Some can help to build cars, and they do simple jobs over and over again and never get bored. 一些机器人能帮助人们造车，并且能反复干着简单的工作,并不会感到无聊。

女：诶，这里的over and over again是一个固定短语，表示“反复地，多次”。get bored意为“感到无聊的，感到厌烦的”。 诶，Chris，有这些机器人真好啊，这样人类就不需要做那些简单重复的工作啦！

男：You’re right.除此之外，Some robots in Japan can walk and dance. They are fun to watch. 在日本一些机器人能唱歌跳舞。他们看起来很有趣。

女：Wow, that’s cool!原来机器人也能像人一样能歌善舞啊。那他们可以陪伴独居老人咯。

男：还远不止这些呢。 In India, there are robots that look like snakes. If buildings fall down with people inside, these snake robots can help look for people under the buildings. 在印度，有看起来像蛇一样的机器人。如果人们被压在倒塌的建筑物里面，这些蛇形机器人能帮助寻找压在建筑下的人们。

女：That’s to say, robots can work in dirty and dangerous places.也就是说，机器人可以在脏乱危险的地方工作，降低人员伤亡率。

男：Yep. Can’t agree more.

女：现在的机器人就已经这么厉害了，那以后会不会真的像科技电影里一样，来个人类和机器人之间的大战啊？！

男：你啊，先别担心得太早，一些科学家们可不这么认为哦！

女：Really？说来听听。

男：For example, scientist James White thinks that robots will never be able to wake up and know where they are.例如，科学家詹姆斯怀特认为机器人将不能够自己苏醒并且知道自己身在何处。

女：诶，Chris，这个句子中的be able to do sth.还挺好用的。它的意思为”能够做某事”。可以用来谈论机器人未来的功能和作用。比如我们可以说：Robots will be able to do...,否定句可以说成：Robots won’t be able to do... 或Robots will never be able to do.... For example, robots will never be able to take the place of humans.机器人将永远无法取代人类。

男：I agree with you. But many scientists disagree with Mr. White. They think that robots will even be able to talk like humans in 25 to 50 years. 但是许多科学家不赞同怀特的说法，他们认为机器人将会在25到50年后能像人一样说话。
女：That will be amazing!

男：Yep. Some scientists believe that there will be more robots in the future. However, they agree it may take hundreds of years. 一些科学家相信在将来将会有更多的机器人。但是，那将要花费数百年的时间。

女：同学们注意啦：It will take sb. some time to do sth.是“将花费某人多少时间去做某事”的意思。比如：It will take scientists many years to make robots dance.科学家们花了很多年的时间使机器人能够跳舞。

男：嗯嗯，我们还需要注意这句话当中的hundreds of，它的意思为“数以百计的”，这是一个概数。例如：There are hundreds of robots in the factory.工厂里有几百个机器人。

女：Well, what will robots look like in the future?

男：These new robots will have many different shapes. Some will look like humans, and others might look like animals. 这些新的机器人将有许多不同的外形。一些看起来像人，其他的看起来像动物。

女：诶，我知道了，谈论未来机器人的外貌，我们可以说sb. will look like...

男：Bingo！

女：Chris，你说这机器人外形千变万化又能文能武，怎么感觉有点不太现实呢？

男：诶，你这可别想当然了。Remember, we never know what will happen in the future!我们永远无法预知未来会发生什么！

女：也是，虽然我们无法预测未来会发生什么，但我们可以肯定未来的生活会越来越方便，越来越智能化。

男：Totally agree with you!同学们，只要我们努力学习，就可以创造未来，把不可能变成可能哦！

女：是啊，同学们，未来是你们的，加油哦！

男：同学们～还记得我们在讲解课文之前让你们先行思考的问题吗？我们可以从哪些方面对未来机器人进行预测？

女：我们可以从外貌和能力两个方面来对未来机器人进行预测。谈论未来机器人的外貌时，我们可以借助句式Robots will look like...

男：而预测未来机器人所具备的能力时，我们可以使用句式Robots will be able to do... 或Robots won’t be able to do... 

女：尤其注意，对未知世界进行预测时，我们要注意使用正确的时态，那就是一般将来时。

第三部分：素养提升

女：Chris，机器人世界太奇妙了，你再跟我多说一些呗。

男：好啊好啊，我可是个机器人迷。别人都笑称我是机器人百科全书。

女：Wow，厉害了，Chris。那你先介绍一下What role will robots play in the future?未来机器人将在哪些领域得到广泛应用吧？

男：No problem. First, I think there will be more robots in factories in the future.我认为未来在工业生产领域将会有更多的机器人。They will be able to do jobs like metal cutting, packing, transporting and so on.它们可以代替人工，进行金属切割，包装，运输等不同工种的作业。

女: Cool. Then people won’t have to do these simple jobs over and over again.那么人类就可以从简单重复的劳动中解脱出来啦。

男：You are right. Besides, robots will play an important role in education.另外，机器人还将在教育领域扮演很重要的角色。They will act as a teaching aid, and be able to provide more teaching materials, check homework and so on.它们将可以充当教师助手，提供更多的教学资源还有检查作业等等。

女：Then teachers will have more time to communicate with students.那么老师就会有更多的时间和同学们进行交流啦。

男：Of course. What’s more, robots will come into our home and do a lot of things for us, such as cleaning, spending time with the old, babysitting babies and so on.除此之外，机器人将走进我们的日常生活，帮助做一些比如打扫，老年陪护，看护婴孩的工作。

女：Amazing. Then we will live a better life with the help of robots.如此说来，在机器人的帮助之下，我们将过上更高质量的生活。这么美妙的设想什么时候可以实现啊？不会真要等好几百年吧？

男：不会啦。只要我们努力学习，勇于探索，未来就掌握在我们的手里。

女：好啦，同学们，在今天的课堂里，我们学习了从外貌和能力两方面来预测未来的机器人，还了解了一些关于未来机器人的知识。

男：同学们也可以自己构思一下，你想拥有一台什么样的机器人呢？What will the robot look like? What will the robot be able to do?
