昆明之行

去年春天我和我的表姐进行了一次汽车远程旅行。我们从家里开车到昆明，去看那里的鲜花，感受那里的风土人情。我们开车在高速上走了2天。要知道，从中国的中部到南部是很远的。我们两个换着开，一路上回忆着小时候一起长大的趣事。虽然有些疲惫，但真的很享受.。而昆明也没有让我们失望，昆明繁花似锦，我们品尝了当地的美食，住了农家房。真的玩得非常开心。

I wanna talk about a time when my cousin and I went on a long distance road trip to Kunming, a well-known tourist place in China. You know, it was Spring, the flower season in Kunming. We both wanted to experience the blooming flowers, as well as the local culture there.

Anyway, we drove for two days on the highway. Yeah, it was quite a distance from my hometown to Kunming. It’s good that we both had a driver’s license, so we could take turns to drive. I generally find driving on the highway boring, but clearly not that time! My cousin and I grew up together so we share so many childhood memories. As she moved to Shanghai with her parents when she was a teenager, we have not spent much time with each other since then. That long trip was a perfect opportunity for us tocatch up(叙旧). We both teased each other hard when we talked aboutus fighting over lollipops（我们为了争棒棒糖而打架）.Yeah, we had a good laugh. So even though the trip was long, it was quite enjoyable.

Plus, Kunming turned out just as great as it’s advert! Everywhere we went, we were surrounded by blossom!The air was so sweet, filled with flower aromas (空气中充满了花香). That was like the finest perfume that I had ever smelt. We also tried the local food, and booked homestay accommodation so we could talk to the locals and get to knowthe minority lifestyles(少数民族得生活方式).  And actually, it’s so good that we drove up there instead of taking a flight because we learnt that it could cost an arm and a leg to rent a car there! We stayed for a week, and made a deal to go back again sometime. That was such a great trip, really!
