M: Yes, we are. 今天我们分享的内容是如何向身边的人提出委婉而有力的抗议。

是的，受了气就要说出来，直接地说，大部分美国人会觉得，只要你没提出声，就说明你没有意见。所以该说就说，不要憋出内伤！好了老规矩,我们从对话开始吧！

Dialogue

A: The room is too cold. It is too much for me.

B: Sorry, I do apologize.

A: I will complain to your manager. And you know what, there is also something wrong with the drain in the bathroom. Can you please send someone to fix it?

B: Certainly, sir. I’ll get the plumber right away.

A: And the TV doesn’t work. What’s wrong with you? I expected something better from this hotel!

B: We are terribly sorry, sir.

A:房间太冷了，简直难以忍受。

B:对不起，我郑重道歉。

A:我要向你的经理投诉。还有浴室里的下水道也坏了，你能请人去修一下吗？

B:当然，先生。我马上去找修下水道工人。

A:电视也坏了。你们怎么回事啊！我所期待的可比这个要好！

【讲解部分】

1. It was too much for me. 简直难以忍受。

类似的表达 “I really can’t stand…”

e.g. I really can’t stand this smell.

2. I will complain to your manager. And you know what, there is also something wrong with the drain in the bathroom. Can you please send someone to fix it?

(1) I will complain to your manager.

全世界的员工都闻风丧胆的一句话= I will file a complaint.  

(2) drain就是下水道

指什么东西有毛病，或者坏了: there is something wrong with…

e.g. 车坏了: there are something wrong with my car. / I’m having a trouble with my car.

3. What’s wrong with you? I expected something better from this hotel!

(1)下面不吐脏字的表达愤怒

What’s wrong with you? = what is the matter with you people! 你们怎么搞的！

 =“what is your problem?”你们是怎么了！

(2) I expected something better! 我所期待的可比这个要好！/你们做的比我预期要糟。这句话很管用的,而且能显示你的素质很高。

= “it’s not what I hoped for” 这可不是我想要的

4. We are terribly sorry, sir.

terribly sorry就是形容你极度抱歉的意思。已经算是美国道歉的最高水平了。

马克叔教你如何表达你的怒火

1. He’s driving me crazy! 他把我气疯了！

2. It made me nuts!

nuts这个词儿，也是可以用来让你非常生气的。

e.g. She has gone nuts! 她气疯了！

3. I can’t take it anymore. 我忍到极点了。

4. I’m fed up with it! 我饱受了这件事的困扰。
