THE CIRCUS STAR
A flea can in the circus star
And pack them in from near and far;
But if he jumps out of the ring -
Then that’s a very different thing.
And if he tries to jump on me,
I’ll flee faster than a flea
.
DANCING INSTRUCTORS
They say ants in your pants
Can teach you to dance,
Of this I am not very sure;
But if this is how lessons
Are taught at dance sessions,
I wouldn’t go back anymore.
SPIDERS
Some dig burrows in the ground
With neat trap-doors
That can’t be found.
While other spiders like to fly
On silky threads
High in the sky.
But most perfer to hang around
On woven webs
Quite near the ground.
“Working much too hard,” says I.
“Only to catch
Some silly, old fly.
