医学英语口语对话：手术

A:Aren’t you nervous about your surgery next week? 

B: No, it’s a routine procedure. I don’t even need to be admitted overnight. 

A: But aren’t you going under general anesthesia? It’s not the same as local anesthesia, you know. 

B: Yes, I know. This is an out-patient procedure. If the doctors don’t think I can go home the same day, they’ll just keep me under observation. 

A: All the same, there may be complications. 

B: It’s supposed to be a low-risk procedure. If there are post-op problems, I’m sure the doctors will take good care of me. (ESL Podcast)

甲：你下周要做手术，你不紧张吗？

乙：不紧张啊，只是个普通手术。我连住院过夜都不需要。

甲：可是你不是要做全身麻醉吗？你要知道，这跟局部麻醉可不一样哦。

乙：是啊，我知道。这个手术在门诊就可以做。如果医生觉得我当天不可以回家的话，他们会让我接受观察的。

甲：尽管如此，还是可能有并发症啊。

乙：这应该是个低风险的手术。如果有术后问题的话，我相信医生会照顾好我的。
