Tesla inks deal with CATL 
特斯拉与宁德时代联姻

US electric carmaker Tesla announced a partnership with CATL, China's largest power battery producer, prompting insiders to call the deal a win-win situation. 

美国电动汽车生产商特斯拉近日宣布与中国最大动力电池生产商宁德时代达成合作关系，业内人士称这是双赢之举。

According to Tesla, CATL has become its third power battery supplier, following Japanese power battery manufacturer Panasonic and South Korean battery marker LG Chem.

特斯拉表示，继日本动力电池制造商松下和韩国电池制造商LG化学之后，宁德时代成为其第三家电池提供商。

Joining hands with China's leading battery maker was Tesla's response to a large demand for power batteries in developing the Chinese market, according to auto portal Gasgoo. 

汽车门户网站盖世称，正在开拓中国市场的特斯拉对于动力电池的需求巨大，携手中国领先电池制造商是必然之举。

With the establishment of its gigafactory in Shanghai and the delivery of its China-made Model 3 vehicles, Tesla is working to expand its battery supply, in a bid to reduce trade risks and improve the company's bargaining power.

Dyson's plans for an air purifier that could double as a pair of headphones have been published by the UK patent office, at a time when face masks have become must-have accessories to fight the spread of a deadly virus across Asia. 

英国专利局近日公布了戴森的空气净化器计划，这种净化器还可以兼作耳机使用。当前，由于致命病毒在亚洲传播，各种面罩正成为必备品。

The product, developed by Dyson Ltd engineers, houses a filter within the headphones, with a form of nozzle providing filtered air to the user.

The patent notes that "air pollution is an increasing problem and a variety of air pollutants have known or suspected harmful effects on human health." Dyson is best known for its vacuum cleaners and hand dryers.

However, the potential to market a wearable purifier to consumers in Chinese cities could be a major driver for the project.

Low self-esteem makes us feel bad about ourselves. Over time it also can cause the development of serious mental conditions such as depression.

自卑让人自我感觉极差。久而久之自卑会导致抑郁等严重的精神问题。

Clinicians use low self-esteem as one possible symptom when they diagnose the psychiatric condition of major depressive disorder. A person with low self-esteem takes things personally, and in a negative way. 

临床医生在诊断重度抑郁症患者精神状况时，常把自卑作为一个可能的症状。自卑的人往往会以消极的方式看待事物。

People with low self-esteem try not to disprove but to verify their negative self-concept by seeking negative feedback from the people in their network. 

自卑的人不会去尝试推翻消极的自我认知，反而会从人际网络中寻找负面反馈来验证这种认知。

They think about their inadequacies, focus on the negative feedback they receive from others, and as a result become more depressed.

Their negative mood also leads them to be perceived more negatively by others, which leads them to feel hurt and rejected. Low self-esteem is a risk factor for depression, regardless of who is tested and how.

Virus mortality rate stable

全国新冠肺炎病死率2.1%

The mortality rate for known cases of the novel coronavirus on the Chinese mainland has dropped to 2.1%, the National Health Commission said on Tuesday. 

国家卫健委4日表示，全国新型冠状病毒感染的肺炎患者病死率已降至2.1%。

The death rate remained stable after an initial 2.3% recorded at the beginning of the outbreak, said Jiao Yahui, deputy chief of the commission's medical administration and supervision department, at a daily press briefing on the epidemic. 

国家卫健委医政医管局副局长焦雅辉在当日的新闻发布会上表示，全国确诊病例病死率在疫情初期是2.3%，目前基本保持稳定。

In Hubei province, the death rate of confirmed infections averaged at 3.1%, while in Wuhan, the provincial capital, the fatality rate stood at 4.9%. 

湖北省确诊病例病死率为3.1%，省会武汉市的病死率为4.9%。

The fatality rate outside Hubei was only 0.16%. More than 80% of the deaths were elderly people over 60 years old, and over 75% had at least one underlying disease such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and tumors.

湖北省以外的其他省份的病死率是0.16%。死亡患者80%以上都是60岁以上的老年人，75%以上有一种以上的基础疾病，如心血管病、糖尿病以及肿瘤等。
