年会志愿者

我曾参加过在九月份左右在上海举办的华为编程人员交流年会。我当时作为学校的学生志愿者和舍友一起报名参加了那次的活动。整个年会举办规模十分巨大，并且我们有机会经历到很多意想不到体验。我们在年会中体验了各种先进的程序设计和新潮的系统交互体验，整个活动让人非常兴奋。我们也通过这个志愿活动学到了很多。

I attended the annual connection meeting for Huawei programmers in Shanghai around September last year. It was an event for Huawei's programmers around the world to get together and exchange their ideas(交流思想). I signed up for the meeting with my roommates as a student volunteer. I was responsible for the overall environment of the meeting and assisted the guests if they had any inquiries. My position was not only limited to providing help to guests in need though, I also had the opportunity to communicate with talented professionals. Their stories were incredibly inspiring for a determined student（非常激励有志向的学生） such as myself.

The scale of the conference was enormous. I had the chance to experience various unexpected novelties（从未遇到的新奇事物） since many programmers were sharing their algorithms and future real-world applications. We saw a variety of advanced programming methods and unique interactive systems. I was deeply impressed by one of the check-out systems designed for bakeries. The system calculates your payment price by analyzing the picture the cashier takes when you put your hand-picked items on the counter. The system can operate in such an efficient and effective way that the labor cost is dramatically reduced. I amgenuinely intrigued（非常感兴趣） to see the ways technology can help our society evolve. In a word, the whole meeting was fascinating and I really learned a lot through this volunteer project.
