Hi, im Evelyn!你好呀，我是小田园。今天，我们继续讲：南北极的故事。Today I will continue talk about the north poles and the south pole.

If I let you to draw a picture about the poles that you imagin, I think you will must draw a half-circle house that is build by ice and snow. This kind of building is called igloos. Igloos are so famous that it becomes the representative of poles. So the question is, do people still build igloos now?

People in antarctic do live in igloos, but now they are built only temporary shelters during hunting trips. Humans have advanced shelters in the poles.

if humans already have so advanced shelters in the poles, than is there anyone who live there?

Actuallly i’m sorry to tell you no one lives there permanently, but antarctica is visited by about 4000 scientistsduring the summer. Only about 1000 of them stay, to brave the cold, dark winter though.

如果让你画一幅你想象中的南北极的图片，那我想这张图里一定会出现一种半圆形的，用冰做的小房子。这种建筑叫做冰屋。冰屋十分出名，甚至成了南北极的代表一样的存在。那么问题来了，到了现在，科技那么发达，还会有人住在冰屋里吗？

答案是肯定的！即便是到了现在，去南极探险考察的人们仍旧有时会住在冰屋里。只不过现在它只是一种零时的庇护所了，人类已经造出了更先进的庇护所。

那么如果人们已经建造出了如此先进的南极住所，会有人住在南极吗？

很抱歉告诉你，没有人长期的居住在那里，但是呢已经有超过4000位科学家在夏天的时候去过南极了，而且其中有1000人在那里度过了漫长，寒冷的冬天。

你长大了之后想去南极看看吗？
