The Chinese telecom firm ZTE said the American government’s probe into its trade practices “may result in criminal and civil liabilities”.

American authorities imposed trade curbs as they investigated alleged violations of trade sanctions against Iran. 

ZTE revised down its 2015 profits from $3.8 billion to $3.2 billion, citing the restrictions.
