One night,
Bear looked up at the sky and thought,
wouldn't it be nice 
to give the moon a birthday present.
有一个晚上，小熊望着天空想，
要是送给月亮一个生日礼物，
应该很棒吧?


But Bear didn't know when the moon's birthday was,
or what to get him.
So he climbed a tall tree to 
have a little chat with the moon.
"Hello, Moon!" he shouted.
But the moon did not reply.
Maybe I am too far away,
thought Bear, and the moon cannot hear me.
但是小熊不知道月亮的生日是什么时候，
也不知道该送什么。
于是，他爬上一棵高高的树跟月亮聊了起来。
“月亮，你好！”他大喊。
但是月亮没有回答。
小熊想：也许是我离得太远了，
月亮听不见。


That night Bear paddled across the river.
于是他划船穿过小河……


And hiked through the forest…
步行穿过森林……


Into the mountains.
走入群山。


Now I am much closer to the moon, 
thought Bear, and again he shouted: "Hello!"
This time his own voice 
echoed off one of the other mountains: "Hello!"
Bear got very excited. 
Oh, boy! He thought. 
I'm talking to the moon.
"Tell me," asked Bear,
"When is your birthday?"
"Tell me, when is your birthday?" replied the moon.
“现在我离月亮更近了”，
小熊想，于是他又大喊了一声：
“你好！”
这次他听到了自己的声音从山的另一侧回荡过来。
“你好！”小熊兴奋起来，
“天啊，我在和月亮说话呢！”
“告诉我，你的生日是什么时候？”
月亮回答道：
“告诉我，你的生日是什么时候？”


"Goodbye," said Bear.
"Goodbye!" said the moon.
“再见”，小熊说。
“再见”，月亮说。


When Bear got home,
he dumped all the money out of his piggy bank.
小熊回到家后，
倒出了储蓄罐里所有的钱。


Then he went downtown..
然后，他去了市里……


And bought the moon a beautiful hat.
他给月亮买了一顶漂亮的帽子。


That night he put the hat up in a tree
where the moon could find it.
Then he waited and watched
while the moon slowly crept.
那天晚上，
他把帽子挂在了一棵高高的树上，
这样月亮就能找到它了。
他在那看啊，盼啊！
直到月亮缓缓地爬上来了。


Up through the branches and tried on the hat.
"Hurray!" yelled Bear.
"It fits just right!"
月亮透过树枝试戴了那顶帽子。
“哦耶！”小熊欢呼道，
“太合适了！”


During the night while Bear slept,
the hat fell out of the tree.
In the morning Bear found the hat on his doorstep.
"So the moon got me a hat, too" exclaimed Bear.
He tried it on and it fit perfectly.
晚上，小熊睡着了。
那顶帽子从树上掉了下来。
第二天早上，
小熊发现他门口的台阶上有一顶帽子。
“看来，月亮也送给了我一顶帽子”，
小熊欢呼着，戴上了帽子，
大小正合适。


But just then,
the wind blew Bear's hat off his head
但就在这时，
一阵风把帽子吹走了。


He chased after it…
小熊在后面追逐...
但是帽子还是飞走了.


That night Bear paddle across the river…
那天晚上，小熊又划船渡过小河...


And hiked through the forest…
穿过森林...
to talk with the moon.
去跟月亮说话。
For a long time the moon would not speak to him,
so bear spoke first.
"Hello!" he shouted.
"Hello!" replied the moon.
"I lost the beautiful hat you gave me," said Bear.
"I lost the beautiful hat you gave me," said the moon.
"That’s okay, I still love you!" said Bear.
"That’s okay, I still love you!" said moon.
月亮很长时间都没说话。
所以小熊先开口了：“你好。”
“你好”，月亮回复到。
“我弄丢了你送给我那顶漂亮的帽子。”小熊说。
“我弄丢了你送给我那顶漂亮的帽子。”月亮说。
“没关系，我还是爱你的。”小熊说。
“没关系，我还是爱你的。”月亮说。


"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" said Bear.
“生-日-快-乐--！”小熊说。
“生-日-快-乐--！”月亮回道。
