A ban on junk food advertising across London's public transport system will be introduced on Feb 25. London mayor Sadiq Khan has confirmed the "tough action" initiative, which is part of the London Food Strategy to reduce child obesity in the city by 2028. The restrictions also outlaw adverts for goods deemed "less healthy" by Public Health England, such as salted nuts.
明年2月25日，伦敦公共交通系统将全面禁止投放垃圾食品广告。伦敦市长萨迪克.汗已经批准"强硬行动"倡议，这是旨在于2028年前减少该市儿童肥胖现象的"伦敦食品战略"的一部分。盐焗坚果等被英国公共卫生局认定为"不那么健康"的商品的广告也在被禁之列。

London has one of the highest childhood obesity rates in Europe, with almost 40% of children aged 10 and 11 being overweight or obese. Speaking of the move's impact on reducing obesity, Khan said: "Reducing exposure to junk food advertising has a role to play in this - not just for children, but parents, families and carers who buy food and prepare meals."

Eiffel Tower staircase sold

A collector from the Middle East paid 169,000 euros, three times of the initial estimate of a section of the Eiffel Tower's original spiral staircase at a Paris auction, Artcurial auction house said on Tuesday. Composed of 25 steps, the 4.3-meter high section, which came from a private collection in Canada, had linked the second and third stories of the Paris landmark "French Iron Lady" built in 1889.
艾德拍卖行27日表示，埃菲尔铁塔原始旋转楼梯的一部分在巴黎一场拍卖会上被一位中东收藏家以16.9万欧元拍得，为最初估价的3倍。这段楼梯来自加拿大的私人收藏，包含25级台阶、高4.3米，是建于1889年的巴黎地标埃菲尔铁塔的第二层和第三层之间的楼梯。

In 1983, the staircase was removed when elevators were installed, and it was cut into 24 sections, with their length ranging from two to nine meters. One of them has since been preserved on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower and three others have been donated to three French museums. On Dec 1, 1983, the remaining 20 sections were first auctioned.
1983年安装电梯时这段楼梯被拆除，并被切为24段，长度从2米到9米不等。其中一段此后一直收藏在埃菲尔铁塔的第一层，三段分别被捐给法国三家博物馆，另外20段则于1983年12月1日首次被拍卖。

Meet the underwater painter

Olga Belka, a Russian born diver and artist who now lives in Thailand, creates unique paintings which bring models and sea animals to life while under water. Each of her unusual pieces of artwork requires between two and six two-hour dives to complete. Olga started underwater painting because she wanted to capture the beauty of life under the waves, and has since created some truly unique pictures.

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) inscribed on Wednesday China's Lum medicinal bathing of Sowa Rigpa on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The decision was announced at the ongoing 13th session of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage held in Port Louis, Mauritius.
联合国教科文组织保护非物质文化遗产政府间委员会第13届常会正在毛里求斯路易港举行。28日，联合国教科文组织在会上宣布，决定将中国"藏医药浴法"列入人类非物质文化遗产代表作名录。

The Lum medicinal bathing of Sowa Rigpa is the traditional knowledge and practices concerning life, health and illness prevention and treatment among the Tibetan people in China. "This heritage not only embodies the folk experience in disease prevention and treatment, it also represents an inheritance and development of the traditional Tibetan medicine theories in modern health practices," Chinese Vice-Minister of Culture and Tourism Zhang Xu said.
藏医药浴法是中国藏族民众有关生命健康和疾病防治的传统知识和实践。中国文化和旅游部副部长张旭表示，该遗产项目既体现了防病疗疾的民间经验，也是传统藏医理论在当代健康实践中的继承和发展。

With the inscription of the Lum medicinal bathing of Sowa Rigpa, China now has 40 inscribed elements in total on relevant UNESCO lists, including 32 elements inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, 7 elements inscribed on the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding, and one program selected to the Register of Good Safeguarding Practices.
随着藏医药浴法的列入，我国目前共有40个项目列入联合国教科文组织非物质文化遗产相关名录，其中32个项目列入代表作名录，7个项目列入急需保护名录，1个项目入选优秀实践名册。
