1.*treat [triːt]
vt. 对待；治疗；请客，款待
It’s wrong to treat animals as if they had no feelings.
把动物当成没有感情的东西来对待是错误的。
I’m going to treat you (to this) = This is my treat.
（这次）我请你。

2.therapy ['θerəpɪ]
n. 治疗，疗法
Joining a club can be a therapy for loneliness.
加入俱乐部可能是消解孤独的一种方法。
retail / food therapy  购物疗法/饮食疗法

3.remedy ['remɪdɪ]
n. 疗法，治疗；补救（办法） 
vt. 补救，纠正，改正
The best remedy for grief is hard work. 
排解忧伤的最好办法就是努力工作。
This mistake must be remedied immediately. 
这一错误必须立即予以纠正。

4.*cure [kjʊə]
vt. 治愈，治好；解决（问题） 
n. 治疗方法，药物；解决方法
At one time doctors couldn’t cure TB. 
曾经有一段时期，医生无法治愈肺结核。
There’s still no cure for cancer. 
还没有能治愈癌症的方法。

5.*heal [hiːl]
v. 愈合，治愈
The wounds were gradually healing (up). 
伤口在逐渐愈合。
heel  n. 脚后跟 
high-heeled shoes  高跟鞋

6.*train [treɪn]
v. 训练，培训
I had to train myself to be more assertive at work.
我必须锻炼自己，使自己在工作中更加自信。

7.*trace [treɪs]
n. 痕迹，踪迹 
v. 找出；追查，追溯
He attempted to cover up all the traces of his crime.
他试图掩盖他犯罪的蛛丝马迹。
The police are trying to trace the mother of a newborn baby found abandoned outside a hospital. 
警察试图查出那位把新生婴儿抛弃在医院外面的母亲。

8.trail [treɪl]
n. 踪迹，痕迹；线索；乡间小道
He left a trail of muddy footprints behind him. 
他身后留下了一串泥泞的脚印。
a forest/mountain trail   林间／山间小道

9.track [træk]
n. 轨道；赛道；小道；足迹，痕迹 
v. 追踪，跟踪
The hunters followed the tracks of the deer for hours.
猎人循着鹿的脚印追了几个小时。
The terrorists were tracked to Amsterdam. 
恐怖分子在阿姆斯特丹被追踪到。
