1. Adjectives of one syllable form a comparative by adding - est.

strong - strongest

She is the strongest candidate.

2. Adjectives of two syllable ending in -y form a superlative by changing -y to -i and adding -est.

easy - easiest

That's the easiest way to do it.

3. Other two syllable adjectives form a superlative by using most.

boring - most boring

That was the most boring presentation I've ever heard.

4. Adjectives with more than two syllables form a superlative by using most.

difficult - most difficult

It was the most difficult job interview I've ever had.
