这里的puffer-billies，小火车的意思。Puff指喷出气体的喷这个动作，那加上er，变成puffer，就是会喷出气体的东西，puffer-billies指蒸汽机车，也有另一种说法puffer-bellies。In a row, 排成排的意思。 Puff这个词很有意思，它作为动词有喷出气体的喷的意思，我们可以说the car puffed black smoke，小汽车冒黑烟了，它一定出毛病了。还有膨胀的意思，比如My hand puffed up. 我的手肿起来了。puff作为名词呢？妈妈化妆时都要用到粉扑，puff呢就是指这个粉扑。还有我们小朋友都很爱吃的泡芙。
