Hello, respected teachers. My name is XXX. I am 22 years old, majoring in civil engineering. I will graduate from department of architecture and civil engineering, Xi’an University of Science and Technology in the coming July this year. Born into a farmer family, I think honesty and diligence are the traits I have in my soul.

In my opinion, mutual trust is the foundation of the social and individual development. Besides, I develop some hobbies in my college life, including bicycling、playing football and travelling. As for my learning, I concentrated on many professional courses in my college, such as structural mechanics, soil mechanics and high-rise structure design. Besides, I also read related books and papers for reference to broaden my horizons. I found the books about bridge engineering, which plays an important role in the development of communications in China, could always draw my great attention.

I also realized that an unconventional mindset and innovation are the key elements of researchers. I hope I can form a more clear and systematic view of my major by furthering my education in this university and my learning schedule will be formulated in detail so as to clarify my learning purposes. If possible, I will also apply for my doctorate degree after the three-year study here. That’s what I want to say about myself. Thank you.
