Did You Have Something Planned?

A: Would you and your wife be available next Friday night?
下周五你和你太太有空吗？
B: I'll have to check with my wife, of course. Did you have somethingplanned?
我要和她商量一下，当然。你们计划好了什么事吗？
A: We are having a dinner party, and my wife sent you and your wife aninvitation.
我们打算举办一场宴会，而且我太太已经发给你和你太太邀请函了。
B: I think we would enjoy that. Is it a formal affair?
我想我们会很喜欢的。是正式晚宴吗？
A: My wife insisted on having it be a formal dinner party this time.
这次我太太坚持要办成一次正式晚宴聚会。
B: That would be a change. Usually we just do barbeques and never get achance to dress up.
那是有改变了。通常我们烧烤，也从来没机会打扮。
