The group continued and soon reached a frozen river.


他们几人继续往前走，很快就来到了一条结冰的河边。


“Be careful,” said Kristoff. “I don’t know how solid (结实的) the ice is.”


“大家小心，”克里斯托弗说，“不知道河里的冰到底厚实不厚实。”


“Don’t worry,” said Little Rock. “I already earned my ice-trekking crystal. This is definitely thick (厚的) enough—” Crack!


“别担心，”小岩石说，“我已经拿到了徒步攀冰水晶石。河里的冰肯定足够厚——”噼啪！


The ice split beneath Little Rock’s feet! Anna and Kristoff grabbed him before he fell through.


话音未落，小岩石脚下的冰就裂开了！安娜和克里斯托弗赶紧拉住了他。


“Elsa, can you help us get across?” asked Anna. The group watched as Elsa sent swirls (漩涡) of ice into the air. The swirls formed a stairway that arched over the river.


“艾莎，你能帮我们过去吗？”安娜问道。在大家注视下，艾莎向空中发出几个冰漩涡。只见漩涡在河面上搭起了一座阶梯拱桥。


The group ran up the steps—then heard a rumble when they started down the other side. The riverbank beneath Elsa’s stairway was beginning to break off (分离) from the extra weight (重量)!


他们跑上了阶梯拱桥——可就在他们从拱桥上往下走时，他们听到了一阵隆隆声。原来，阶梯拱桥下的河岸已经不堪重负，正在裂开！


Elsa waved her arms, and some ice sleds appeared. “Jump on!” she shouted. Everyone swooshed over the steps and down the frozen river.


这时，艾莎挥舞双臂，就变出了几个冰雪橇。“快跳上来！”她喊道。大家疾步走下台阶，（跳上了冰雪橇，）来到了结冰的河面上。


“You were both so fearless,” Little Rock said to Anna and Elsa when they reached the other side. He handed the sisters a glowing crystal from his pouch (小袋子). “You deserve to carry this.”


“你们都好勇敢啊，”到了河对岸以后，小岩石跟安娜和艾莎说。他从口袋里拿出一个发光的水晶石，递给了她们，“你们才有资格带着它。”


It was getting light, so the group camped (扎营) for the day and set out again the next night.


天要亮了，于是他们在白天扎营，到了晚上又再次出发了。


“We have to find Grand Pabbie right away,” said Little Rock. “There are only two days of autumn left.”


“我们必须马上找到佩比爷爷，”小岩石说，“秋天只剩下两天了。”


Little Rock picked up a branch, thinking it was a clue. “Grand Pabbie must have gone this way,” he said.


小岩石发现了一根树枝，他觉得这是一条线索。“佩比爷爷肯定从这边走了，”他肯定地说。


“Arm!” cried Olaf. “I wondered where I’d left you.”


“啊！胳膊！”奥拉夫大喊道，“我刚刚还在想我把你忘在哪里了呢。”


Little Rock was disappointed.


（原来树枝是奥拉夫的胳膊呀）小岩石好失望呀。


“Everyone makes mistakes (错误),” said Kristoff. “And Olaf is lucky you were able to help him!”


“每个人都会犯错的，”克里斯托弗安慰说，“奥拉夫有你帮忙，运气真好！”


Little Rock’s mood brightened, and he quickly found another clue: a clump of green moss. “It’s from Grand Pabbie’s cloak!” he exclaimed.


小岩石的心情好了起来，很快，他就找到了另一个线索：一团绿色的苔藓。“是从佩比爷爷的斗篷上掉下来的！”他兴奋地喊道。


Elsa pointed out (指出) the thick patches of green scattered (散落) over the ground. “It’s possible that it’s just moss,” she said gently.


艾莎指了指散布在地面上的厚厚的绿色物体，“很有可能只是一般的苔藓呢，”她温柔地说。


Little Rock sighed. “You’re right. This isn’t from Grand Pabbie’s cloak.”


小岩石叹了口气。“你说的对，这不是佩比爷爷斗篷上的。”


Farther up the mountain, where the path was covered with (被…覆盖) snow, Anna discovered what seemed to be troll footprints. She called Little Rock over to take a look (查看).


接着，他们来到了更远的山上，山路全都被雪覆盖了。安娜发现了一串类似石怪脚印的痕迹。她让小岩石过来查看。


“These are Grand Pabbie’s footprints!” he declared.


“这是佩比爷爷的脚印！”他喊道。


They followed the prints higher and higher up the mountain, but the marks stopped at the very top. Before the friends could investigate (调查) further, a snowstorm rolled in.


他们跟着脚印上山，越爬越高，可是来到山顶后，脚印却消失了。几位朋友还没来得及仔细调查，暴风雪就席卷而来。


Little Rock offered to find shelter, but Elsa used her magic to create a beautiful ice shelter instead. The friends hurried inside.


小岩石提出要帮大家找避难所，不过很快艾莎就用她的魔法建造出了一个美丽的冰避难所。他们赶紧躲了进去。
