Palace- the Outer Court

The Outer Court was where the emperor exercised his supreme power overthe country. It includes the Hall of Supreme Harmony, the Hall of CentralHarmony, and the Hall of Preserving Harmony. The Hall of Supreme Harmony is thegrandest and most important hall in the palace complex. This used to be thethrone hall for ceremonies to mark grand occasions: the Spring Festival, theemperor’s birthday and enthronement.
