One night there was a drum dance．

一天晚上有一场鼓舞。

A young girl stayed at home alone．

Someone came in，blew out the light，and pulled the girl's hair．

有人进来，吹灭了灯，揪了一下女孩的头发。

The person ran away before the girl could see whom it was．

在女孩还没看清楚是谁之前，那个人就跑了。

The young girl wanted to find out who pulled her hair．

年轻女孩想知道是谁揪了她的头发。

She put some ashes in her hair and waited．

她把一些灰烬放进头发里，然后等着。

The visitor came back，pulled the girl's hair again，and ran away．

那个人又来了，揪了一下女孩的头发，然后跑掉了。

The girl went quickly to the dance hall．

女孩很快就去了舞厅。

She saw that her brother had ashes on his hands．

The girl was very angry．

She grabbed a torch and ran away．

Her brother grabbed his own torch and followed her into the dark night．

They both ran so fast that they took off into the sky．

The girl became the Sun and her brother，whose torch went out，became the Moon．
