你们有没有想象过，当没有人的时候，这些小动物们都在做些什么呢？

By the big red barn

In the great greenfield,

There was a pink pig

Who was learning to squeal.

There was a great bighorse

And a very littlehorse.

And on every barn

Is a weather vane, ofcourse -

A golden flying horse.

There was big pile ofhay

And a little pile ofhay,

And that is where thechildren play.

But in this story thechildren are away.

Only the animals arehere today.

The sheep and thedonkey,

The geese and thegoats,

Were making funnynoises

Down in their throats.

And old scarecrow

Was leaning on hishoe.

And a field mouse wasborn……

In a field ofcorn.  

Cock-a-doodle dooooo!

In the barn there wasrooster

And a pigeon, too.

And a big white hen

Standing on one leg.

And under the hen

Was a quiet egg.

There wasa bantam rooster

And a little bantamhen

With a big clutch ofeggs.

Count them. There areten.

Cock-a-doodle-doo!

Moooooo! Moo!

There was a big browncow

And a little browncow. 

There was an old blackcat,

Meow! Meow!

And a tiger tomcat,

Yeow! Yeow!

There was a big reddog,

Bow! Wow!

With some little puppydogs

All round andwarm. 

And they all livedtogether

In the big red barn.

And they played allday

In the grass and inthe hay.

When the sun went down

In the great greenfield,

The big cow lowed,

The little pig squealed.

The horses stomped inthe sweet warm hay,

And the little donkeygave one last bray.

The hens were sleepingon their nests.

Even the roosters tooka rest.

The little black batsflew away

Out of the barn at theend of the day.

And there they wereall night long

Sound asleep

In the big red barn.

Only the mice wereleft to play,

Rustling and squeakingin the hay,

While the moon sailedhigh

In the dark night sky.
