Chopsticks play an important role in Chinese people's daily lives. Made of materials like bamboo, wood or sometimes metal, they come in pair.
In China, people not only use chopsticks to enjoy delicious Chinese cuisine, but also carry certain symbolic meanings. For example, in traditional Chinese weddings, chopsticks are often given as gifts to wish the couple a happy marriage and many children. However, it’s not polite to stick your chopsticks straight up in a bowl of rice, and you should never point with them.
Chopsticks are a part of Chinese tradition and a symbol of Chinese heritage.
