《青蛙王子》  "The Frog Prince"

从前，有一位国王，他的小女儿美丽得像天仙，连太阳都为她的美貌惊叹。 

Once upon a time, there was a king whose little daughter was as beautiful as a fairy, and even the sun marveled at her beauty. 

宫殿旁有一片幽暗的大森林，森林里有一个深不见底的水潭。小公主常常坐在水潭边，玩她心爱的金球。 

Next to the palace was a dark, vast forest with a bottomless pond in it. The little princess often sat by the pond, playing with her beloved golden ball. 

有一天，小公主不小心把金球掉进了水潭。她伤心地哭了起来，因为水潭太深，金球不见了踪影。 

One day, the little princess accidentally dropped her golden ball into the pond. She cried sadly because the pond was too deep, and the ball was nowhere to be seen. 

突然，一只青蛙从水中冒出头，说：“公主，您为什么哭得这么伤心？” 公主回答道：“我的金球掉进了水潭，我再也找不到它了。” 

 Suddenly, a frog popped its head out of the water and said, “Princess, why are you crying so sadly?” The princess replied, “My golden ball fell into the pond, and I can’t find it anymore.” 

青蛙说：“如果我帮您捞回金球，您愿意让我做您的朋友吗？我们一起吃饭、玩耍，还让我睡在您的床上。” 公主虽然不情愿，但为了找回金球，她答应了青蛙的要求。 

The frog said, “If I help you get your golden ball back, will you let me be your friend? We can eat together, play together, and I can sleep on your bed.” Although the princess was reluctant, she agreed to the frog’s request in order to get her ball back. 

青蛙捞回金球Text: 青蛙潜入水潭，不一会儿就捞回了金球。小公主看到金球，兴奋地拿着它跑回宫殿，把青蛙的请求抛在了脑后。 

 The frog dived into the pond and soon retrieved the golden ball. The little princess, seeing the ball, excitedly ran back to the palace, forgetting the frog’s request. 

第二天，青蛙跳到了宫殿门前，敲响大门，唱道： 小公主，请开门！ 老椴树下水潭边， 潭水深深球不见， 你许诺，我寻球， 朋友永远不分离！

The next day, the frog hopped to the palace door, knocked on it, and sang: “Little princess, please open the door! By the old linden tree and the pond so deep, The ball was lost and I found it for you, You promised, now we are friends, Friends forever, never to part!” 

小公主跑到餐桌旁，急忙对国王解释了金球掉进水潭的事情，以及青蛙的要求。国王听后，告诉她要遵守承诺。 

The little princess ran to the dining table and hurriedly explained to the king about the golden ball falling into the pond and the frog’s request. The king told her she must keep her promise. 

国王听了事情经过后，严肃地对公主说：“你答应了他，就要信守诺言，让青蛙进来。”小公主虽然不情愿，但还是打开了门，青蛙蹦蹦跳跳地进了宫殿。 

After hearing the story, the king said sternly to the princess, "You made a promise, so you must keep it and let the frog in." Although the princess was unwilling, she opened the door, and the frog hopped into the palace. 

青蛙被带到了餐桌上，和小公主一起用餐。青蛙吃得津津有味，而小公主却一点也不开心。

The frog was brought to the dining table and ate with the princess. The frog enjoyed the meal, but the princess was not happy at all. 

晚饭后，青蛙说：“现在我累了，公主，请带我去你的卧室。”小公主虽然不愿意，但在国王的命令下，她只好带着青蛙走向卧室。

 After dinner, the frog said, "Now I am tired, princess. Please take me to your bedroom." Although the princess was reluctant, she had no choice but to take the frog to her bedroom under the king's orders. 

小公主带着青蛙来到卧室，青蛙说：“我累了，我也想在床上睡觉，请把我抱上去，要不然我就告诉您父亲。”小公主听了勃然大怒，她抓起青蛙，愤怒地将他摔向墙壁，怒道：“你这个丑陋的讨厌鬼！” 

The princess took the frog to her bedroom. The frog said, "I am tired and also want to sleep on the bed. Please pick me up, or I will tell your father." The princess, furious, grabbed the frog and angrily threw him against the wall, saying, "You ugly, annoying creature!" 

谁知青蛙一落地，竟变成了一位英俊的王子！王子微笑着说：“我是被巫婆施了魔法，只有你能解救我。” 

To her surprise, as soon as the frog hit the ground, he turned into a handsome prince! The prince smiled and said, "I was cursed by a witch, and only you could break the spell." 

第二天，王子的忠仆亨利赶来接他们。他曾因为王子被变成青蛙而悲痛不已，在他的胸口套上了三道铁箍，防止他的心因悲伤而破裂。现在看到王子恢复原貌，铁箍一个接一个崩裂。

The next day, the prince's faithful servant, Henry, came to take them. He had been so heartbroken over the prince being turned into a frog that he had placed three iron bands around his chest to prevent his heart from breaking due to grief. Now, seeing the prince restored, the bands broke one by one. 

王子和公主一起坐上马车，踏上了返回王国的旅途。 Text: The prince and the princess got into a carriage together and set off on their journey back to the kingdom.

信守承诺，真心对待他人，才能迎来美好的结局。
Keeping promises and treating others sincerely will lead to a wonderful ending.
