“儒崇内省，道崇内视”。
所省所视为何物？
观其心也。
凡夫终生不见其心，
不知自省自视，
心浮气躁，
常为外物所惑，
利欲所诱。
不可拔也。
I got understanding at night reading:
“Confucianists uphold inner understanding,
and Daorists who advocate viewing inside”.
What things are they understanding or viewing? That's observing the mind-heart.
Ordinary people never see the heart inside
don't know self-understanding or self-viewing,
flighty and impetuous,
always tempted by out-things & puzzled by profits,
who cannot be uprooted.
