Boysober is GenZ's rebranding of celibacy but without really going old school. It's a voluntary decision by a woman to abstain from any emotional or physical relationship.

The new reservoirs of time and energy are spent in the pursuit of something more meaningful.

The movement was spearheaded by a comedy show by Hope Woodward. She quips that boysober is about "pausing, reflecting and reprioritizing, and not to gain male approval."
