Day - 53 Eye test in Australia
“Up , down, left or right?” the eye doctor asked. “Huh? Why are all the letters on the eye-check chart ‘E’?” I asked. It was my first eye check in China. I was so confused. It is different from the one we use in my home country of Australia. There, the eye chart has many different letters on each of its lines. They go from big to small. You just have to tell the doctor what each letter is. Only about 1.3 percent of teenagers in Australia are near-sighted. Scientists say that’s because Australian kids play outdoors a lot. The sunshine is good for their eyes.
