“The Legend of Shen Li” has finally graced our screens and I couldn’t help but grin from ear to ear the whole time Zhao Liying and Lin Gengxin were onscreen together. 

There was a lot of anticipation around “The Legend of Shen Li” even before its premiere. Thus far, the show doesn’t just meet those expectations—it surpasses them with flying colors. 

Zhao cut her teeth in show business in 2006 after winning a star scouting competition. Coming from a farming village in Hebei, her humble background, coupled with her doe-eyed look, won her legions of fans.
