When October comes, Germany holds its biggest beer festival - Oktoberfest. People drink beer, play games and watch fun shows. Why do Germans like beer so much? In fact, Germans began to drink beer a long time ago. Beer is made from grains. In the past, people saw it as a kind of “food”. Also, water in the past was always polluted. Beer was safer to drink than water. To make better beer, Germany made a law in 1516. It is still in use today!
