Emma Stone won the Oscar for best actress, a win that many considered to be one of the biggest upsets of the night.

Stone was nominated for her role in "Poor Things," a movie about a woman, created by science, awkwardly and exuberantly making her way into the world.

The best actress race was considered one of the tighter competitions, but Lily Gladstone appeared to have emerged as the favorite to win, following her breakout performance in Martin Scorsese's "Killers of the Flower Moon."
